The Naverwassee Branch freelances models
the Nickel Plate Road (NKP) in the 1955 to 1957 time frame.
Diesels have taken over most of the railroad, but there is still some
steam. Most notably the famous NKP Berkshires.
The Naverwassee Branch create a route from the main yard at High Point
to Post of Miassee and across the Naverwassee River to Naverwassee Yard.
In route the branch serves 73 industries, located in 5 towns including
the SteelCo # 18 mine.
The layout uses a CVP Easy DCC system to operate it's approx 125 foot
main line. The 73 industries are supplied by over 250 cars and 19
engines. The branch interchanges with the Erie, New York Central, and
the Toledo, Peroria & Western Railroads.
Normally the branch is run by 8 operators, but at today's session there
are 12 operators. Relocation of the car float will be the last
step before the scenery is started. It is planned that there will be
almost 100 structures on the layout upon completion.
